Positive: Dar Borj was our very first experience of living in a Riad and it was just perfect. Entering the lobby was an experience - Aziz had already conversed with us for guiding us to the parking and welcomed us into the beauty that was the lobby and showed us all the floors and the rooftop. Art lovers will love gazing at all the traditional elements placed beautifully throughout. The room was well equipped and the bathroom was a beauty, complete with a tub and the usual combination of toilet bowl and a separate bidet bowl. The bed is huge and there is plenty of space in the sitting room. Their airconditioner doubles as a heater for the cold months and though the room is quite big with a very high ceiling (ours was on the ground floor itself) with the right swing settings the room gets warm fast (and probably will get cold as fast too in the summer). We visited in the end of November 2025 and it was already colder than usual but all the temperatures in the Riad were just comfortable, including the dining space at the rooftop. Aziz, bless him, such a young boy and so professional and his assistant helped us with everything, including packing us a breakfast for our early departure. Oh and their dinner tajine was just amazing. The Riads in the Medina of Fes can be a little far from the parking. But Aziz came to pick up us so was very easy to navigate.
